Greater NJ Postal Customer Council Earns Platinum
New Brunswick NJ – The Greater New Jersey Postal Customer Council (PCC) was honored on September 21 with a National PCC Platinum Award for their contributions to the mailing industry over the last five years. On hand to present the prestigious award was U.S. Postal Service Northeast Area Vice President, Edward F. Phelan Jr. The award presentation was one of the highlights of the day-long mailing industry forum which was held at Johnson & Johnson headquarters in downtown New Brunswick. The New Jersey event was part of the National PCC Week celebration with events held across the country from September 19 - 23.
PCCs are groups of mailing industry leaders and senior postal managers who meet regularly to network and exchange mutually beneficial ideas. There are 155 local PCC chapters throughout the nation. According to a 2015 study by the Envelope Manufacturers Association, the U.S. mailing industry employs 7.5 million and represents $1.4 trillion in sales revenue. Locally, the study indicated there are 260,497 mailing industry related jobs in New Jersey with $32.323 billion in revenue.

The GNJPCC's mission is to employ its resources to implement and coordinate the activities of the US Postal Service in its relations with the business community and public in general.
GNJPCC Goals:
Establish a means of regular communication between customers and local Postal managers.
Inform Postal customers of the latest changes in US Postal Service products, services and rates.
Assist customers in improving their internal mail operations.
Provide information necessary to make the most effective and efficient use of postal products and services.
Provide an organized way for US Postal Service speakers to introduce products, services and programs to the public.
Create a better understanding of the USPS through business meetings, mailer clinics, mailing seminars, tours of USPS facilities and visits to customers' plants.
